Trips and the mileage report

Optional: record the trips, for a mileage claim or a tax return.

A trip

Start a trip when you leave; hold Stop when you arrive. The distance follows the road you drove. Give it a Purpose (Business, Personal, Commute, Medical, Charity), a Reason and the Vehicle. The location is used only while a trip runs.

Reports

In Costs, the Mileage report totals the trips by purpose at your Rates (in the settings), with a PDF and a CSV. Actual costs or mileage rate compares the two calculations for each car and year. See Actual costs or mileage rate.
